Central Hardware, Inc, located in south Houston, TX, aka Central Ace Hardware, Sagemont Ace Hardware, South Belt-Ellington Ace Hardware, Beamer Ace Hardware, and  Ace Hardware, was started in 1979.  In 1999, ownership purchased an existing Ace Hardware store in Rosenberg, TX,( southwest Houston, TX),  Central Hardware No. 2, aka Central Ace Hardware No. 2, Rosenberg Ace Hardware, Richmond-Rosenberg Ace Hardware, and Ace Hardware.  In the fall of 2005, ownership opened their third Ace Hardware store in the Clear Lake community, on the south side of Houston, TX, aka Central Ace Hardware No. 3, Clear Lake Ace Hardware, Bay Area Ace Hardware, and Ace Hardware.  In the spring of 2007, Central Hardware No. 4, aka Cypress Ace Hardware, Longwood Ace Hardware, Lakewood Ace Hardware, Central Ace Hardware No. 4, Louetta Ace Hardware, Ace Hardware @ Louetta and Grant, and Ace Hardware was opened in Cypress, TX, (northwest Houston, TX)

Central Ace Hardware stocks products for projects including paint and paint supplies, cleaning supplies,  hand tools, power tools and power tool accessories, light bulbs and lighting supplies, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, hardware items for your home, a large selection of nuts, bolts, screws, and fasteners, heating and cooling supplies, assorted home goods or house wares, small appliances, lawn and garden supplies, live green goods in the spring and fall, bird feeders and bird feed, outdoor living supplies including outdoor furniture, grills, and coolers.  During our various seasons Central Ace Hardware adjusts its product mix to include cold weather supplies in the winter such as heaters, pipe insulation, faucet covers for the winter.  In the summer season, you can find a variety of lawn and garden products available to keep your lawn healthy including fertilizers, sprinklers, water sprinklers and garden hoses.  When the end of year holiday period approaches, Central Ace Hardware is well stocked with all of your Christmas décor and decorations needed for both inside and outside your home.

Central Ace Hardware provides services such as screen repair, lock rekeying, key cutting and copying, auto chip key copying, computer paint color matching, custom paint color mixing, special orders, delivery, cutting services for wood, pipe, pvc, glass, plexiglass, window screen and screen frame repairs, propane exchange and propane cylinder filling, copies made, and a rental department offering a selection of rental products for lawn and garden care to specialty power tools.  Central Ace Hardware can special order when needed from the Ace Hardware warehouse(s) when the hardware product needed is not found on our shelves.  Also, a USPS branch (United States Postal Service) is located in two of the Central Ace Hardware stores, supplying stamps, all of the outbound mail services such as parcel post, first class postage, international mailing, registered mailing, certified mailing, return receipt, and a variety of free boxes for flat rate or weighted mailing.
